Chalmette High School Students Set to Shine in Musical Production of “Oklahoma!”

Dust off your cowboy boots, grab your hat, and join CHS Voices for an unforgettable journey to the heart of the prairie when Chalmette High School’s talented performers take center stage in their upcoming performance of the beloved musical, "Oklahoma!" This Rodgers & Hammerstein classic will captivate audiences with its infectious energy, heartwarming story, and unforgettable tunes.

Directed by Arianna Cassar-Cruice and Annelise Cassar Tedesco, "Oklahoma!" will transport theatergoers to the vibrant landscapes of the American West. Set on a bustling farmstead, the musical follows the escapades of cowboys and farmers as they navigate life, love, and the pursuit of happiness.

Community volunteers and students, under the guidance of Tech Directors Fred Hebert and Briana Acosta, bring this lively American tale to life with hand painted scenery and the magic that are a part of  the professional light and sound design.

"We're thrilled to present 'Oklahoma!' to our community," said Cassar-Cruice. "These students have poured their hearts and souls into this production, and their passion is palpable in every scene. We can't wait for audiences to see their talent and experience the magic of this timeless musical."

Tickets for this not-to-be-missed event will go on sale starting February 23rd. Performances will run from March 7th to March 10th, offering multiple opportunities for families, friends, and theater enthusiasts to enjoy an evening of song, dance, and laughter.

"Oklahoma!" promises to be a toe-tapping, hand-clapping good time for audiences of all ages.
