St. Bernard Parish School Board Elect President, Vice President for 2024 Calendar Year
Chalmette, LA - At its most recent board meeting, the St. Bernard Parish School Board held elections for president and vice president for the 2024 calendar year. Diana Dysart, who represents district 7, was unanimously elected as board president while Katherine Lemoine, the district 1 representative, was elected vice president.
Dysart has served on the board since 1983 and said she is proud of what the district has accomplished over the years.
“I appreciate the opportunity and humbly accept serving as president of the school board. I look forward to a cooperative working relationship with each of you for the betterment of all of our students,” Dysart said.
Also on hand for the meeting was Council Member at Large East Fred Everhardt, who presented the board with a proclamation in support of School Board Member Recognition Month. In his address, he remarked on the board’s commitment to ensuring a quality education for students in the St. Bernard Parish Public School System.
“Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. We trust you with our most precious gift from God- our children. You all are doing a great job. Thank you for everything you do.”
