State testing will take place for St. Bernard Parish students throughout the months of April and May. Computer-based testing will be given to grades 3-8.High school students taking Algebra I, Geometry, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History will take the LEAP2025 assessment for each of these courses throughout the month of May.
Third through fifth grade, students will be taking the English Language Arts and Mathematics tests May 1-3, 2024. These students will be taking the Science and Social Studies tests May 6-8, 2024.Sixth through eighth grade, students will be taking the English Language Arts and Mathematics tests April 23-25, 2024. The science and social studies assessments will be administered April 29-30, 2024 and May 1, 2024.
Students enrolled in state-approved home-study programs, district approved virtual program, and students currently enrolled in private or parochial schools who plan to enter public schools next year for enrollment in grades 5 or 9 must register for this test.These students may participate in testing at their district public school during the scheduled testing sessions.Registration is required for participation and a fee of $35 per content area will be assessed.Registration forms may be completed at the St. Bernard Parish School Board Administration Office at 200 E. St. Bernard Highway until April 5, 2024.Office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday.Registration forms must be hand delivered or mailed to the school board office along with the assessment fee. The last day to register for state testing with your district school is April 5, 2024.

Students currently enrolled in St. Bernard Parish public schools are not required to register for state testing.
