CHS senior Devin Cruice, CHS freshman Abigail Coker, and Trist 6th grader Jackson Nunez served as the narrators for this year’s breakfast held at the Chalmette High School Lacoste campus.

    Learning where food comes from and how to prepare nutritious meals has become a component of the curriculum at W. Smith Elementary School. Thanks to a grant from Louisiana Team Nutrition, students have the opportunity to create a tower garden to grow fresh produce such as bibb lettuce, gourmet lettuce, rainbow chard, and kale.

  • Two CHS Seniors Receive Posse Scholarship

    Since 2011, the Posse Foundation has awarded $34.2 million in scholarship money to high school scholars in the greater New Orleans area. The highly competitive scholarships are given to only 40 area seniors each year and award four-year, full tuition, merit-based leadership scholarships to the recipients.
