  • 72nd Annual Homecoming at CHS

    The 72nd annual Chalmette High School Homecoming festivities took place the weekend of November 8. This year's court included Queen Lina Abdellatif, first maid Imani Brown and maids Madison Bastoe, Logan Dusang, Katie Jovel, Hailey Melerine, Izabella Garcia, Adaline Palmisano, Madison Pleming.

  • Key Club Hosts Fifth Annual Boo on the Bayou!

    Chalmette High School Key Club held its fifth annual Boo on the Bayou Halloween event at Borgnemouth Park in Meraux on Sunday, October 27. The event, which has become a community favorite, attracted close to 2000 visitors for games, trick or treating, arts and crafts, a pumpkin patch, and performances by many of the parish elementary school dance and cheer squads.

    Over 400 seniors recently partook in the longstanding Chalmette High School tradition – Ring Day. A celebration of the Class of 2020, Ring Day celebrates the contributions, achievements, and leadership of the graduating class.

  • CHS Hosts Annual College Night

    Over 200 students attended the annual Chalmette High School College Night for an opportunity to learn more about the many aspects of college life. CHS junior class counselor Penny Tinnerella organizes the event annually and said 35 colleges, trade schools, and tech schools were on site to meet with students and parents.

    Kelli Plaiscia, Chalmette High School’s veteran volleyball coach, achieved a remarkable feat recently – earning her 700th career win in a victory over St. Martin.

  • CHS Honors Academic Achievement at the Breakfast of Champions

    Over 400 students at Chalmette High School were recently invited to participate in the school’s Breakfast of Champions - an initiative founded by the school’s Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Committee to recognize and reward outstanding students. Awards presented included accolades for Perfect Attendance, top scores on Advanced Placement exams, ACT, LEAP tests, or End of Course tests, and competitive cumulative grade point averages at or above a 3.5.

  • Class of 2019 Celebrates at Annual Awards Night

    The best and brightest of the Chalmette High School Class of 2019 gathered in the Chalmette High School Cultural Arts Center on April 24 for the school’s annual Senior Awards Night; a night in which about 70 seniors were recognized for their hard work, awarded over a million dollars in scholarship money, and named as coveted Golden Owls for their class

  • Two CHS Seniors Awarded Posse Scholarships

    For the fifth consecutive year, Chalmette High School is home to two recipients of the highly competitive Posse Foundation Scholarships, a four-year, full tuition, leadership scholarship. Congratulations to Hailey Abrams and Brian Williams, who will attend the University of Notre Dame and Tulane University, respectively.
