Letter from the Principal

  • Fall 2023

Dear J. F. Gauthier Elementary families,

I would like to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year.  I hope that you have used your summer break to relax and make special memories with your friends and families. It’s now time to look forward to a wonderful new school year as we “Embark on a Safari of Success” at J. F. Gauthier Elementary.

Our incredible faculty and staff have been in the school over the last few weeks preparing classrooms for the new school year.  We are grateful to our custodial staff as they worked all summer getting our school in pristine shape and to our secretary, Mrs. Terri, who has been working hard to ensure a smooth start for staff, students and families.

    J. F. Gauthier Elementary is such a great place to learn and grow. We are proud of our school and have high expectations for each and every student.  Our overarching goal is to foster a lifetime love for learning for all students.  We realize that a strong partnership with our families will make a great difference in the success of each child.  As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.  We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she attends school daily, completes all homework assignments and reads at home each night.

We will continue to work hard to make sure our families stay connected and informed.  Teachers will communicate with you using School Status.  The school will send phone calls and messages, and we will continue to post the most current information on our school webpage and Facebook page.  Please make sure the office always has the most current phone number and email address so that you can receive the information.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.  My staff and I look forward to having a long and rewarding relationship with you and your family.

    Sincerely,

    Lisa G. Young

    Principal
