Ms. Foland has been teaching for 19 years, and this is her 5th year of teaching at C.F. Rowley. She is looking forward to a new school year with your child. She will be teaching 6th and 7th grade ELA.  She is excited that the students will have an opportunity to read a wide variety of books as well as analyze poetry. Ms. Foland assigns a variety of different writing pieces that students will be required to write.  Some will be strictly for pleasure and some will address a specific question or prompt. Not every piece of writing will be a published piece of work. Your student will have many different learning experiences in Ms. Foland's classroom. We will participate in whole class lessons, computer activities, and group activities where they will be given opportunities to lead a group as well as work as a productive group member. 

Ms. Foland graduated from Creston High School, Southwestern Community College and Buena Vista University.  Her hobbies include reading, gardening, swimming and baking. She especially enjoys spending time with family and friends.
