Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jeanine Gonzales
My name is Mrs. Jeanine Gonzales. I am in my 7th year of teaching Medical Assisting, Health Occupations, Medical Terminology, and previously First Responders. I started my teaching career in 2017. I was the CTE Advisor/Dept head and Medical Assistant teacher at my previous school district. Prior to teaching, I was a surgical nurse at an OB/GYN clinic. Where I assisted with major surgeries and delivery of newborns. I graduated from Nunez Community College with my associate degree in General Studies and my LPN Nursing Diploma and state board of nursing license in 2009. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to strengthen my current teaching certification. My passion has always been to teach those who are interested in the medical field and to educate others about the interesting aspects of the medical profession.
Other than being a teacher, wife, and mom. I enjoy my porch with a good book, mud riding, spending time with my 2 dogs, fishing, boat rides, being on the water, visiting other states, hiking in the mountains, enjoying the sounds of nature, and most of all, spending time with my little family.
I am passionate about my student's education and giving them the best education to take them further in life. I am looking forward to establishing a rapport with my students and working closely with parents and guardians in their student's education. I can't wait to see them all flourish and watch them take the knowledge and skills I teach them into the world. Being a teacher to me is extremely rewarding on a daily basis.
