Ms. AJ is an English teacher who teaches English I and II for the ninth grade students. She looks forward to getting to know her students during their first year of high school. She is new to the Chalmette High School staff but comes from the West Bank with an excitement to teach students as they grow and evolve into young adults. Ms. AJ graduated from The University of New Orleans with Honors. She received a Minor in English and a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education. She has lived on the West Bank since she was five years old, but had to move to Indiana for a year after Katrina. Ms. AJ looks forward to aiding the new freshman in seeing the benefits of reading and writing in an academic setting, and showing them how those things follow them outside the classroom.
