Ms.Peterson earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. She has been teaching for six years. This is her first year at Gauthier Elementary. She is originally from Colorado and taught Pre-K, 3rd & 4th grade there. She moved to Louisiana in 2019 and taught Kindergarten/1st grade in Jefferson Parish. She is excited to be teaching second grade at Gauthier Elementary and to be part of the St.Bernard Parish community. In her free time, Ms.Peterson enjoys traveling, camping, hiking and spending time with her family and friends. She loves teaching and is passionate about creating a positive learning environment for her students. It is important to her to create lasting relationships with students & their families.
