Mrs. Whitney Asevado

Whitney Asevado was born and raised in St. Bernard parish. Although her high school journey was interrupted by Hurricane Katrina, she was able to graduate from Chalmette High in 2008 due to the amazing work of St. Bernard Parish Schools. She earned her Bachelor's degree in 2013 from the University of Holy Cross and she immediately dove into the classroom. During her teaching career, she has taught ELA, mathematics, and science as well as coached sports, sponsored many clubs, produced plays, and is always an advocate for all students. In 2018, she attend the American College of Education to receive her Master's in Educational Leadership in 2020. Mrs. Asevado is always looking for ways to learn and better herself in and out of the classroom.

This year Mrs. Asevado teaches 7th grade ELA and is the sponsor of the Beta club and the builder's club. She also helps out with softball when she can. She is always up for participating in extracurricular activities to make school as enjoyable as possible for students. She is devoted to her school and students as well as the community she services.

Mrs. Asevado still lives in St. Bernard with her family. She is happily married with four children, two dogs, and a cat. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling in their RV, and going to Disney World.
