Mrs. Whitney Asevado

Whitney Asevado was born and raised in St. Bernard parish. Although her high school journey was interrupted by Hurricane Katrina, she graduated from Chalmette High in 2008. While in college to earn her bachelor’s degree, she was a substitute teacher and also hired as a special education paraprofessional. She earned her bachelor of Science in 2013 from the University of Holy Cross and immediately dove into the classroom. She is starting her eighth year of teaching. During her teaching career, she has coached sports, sponsored many clubs, produced plays, and has been an advocate for all students. She is married with four children, two dogs, and a cat. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
