Allyson Crawford has 13 years of teaching experience in Rapides Parish (10 years in ECSE, 2 in regular Pre-K, and 1 year in 3rd grade special education). This will be her second year teaching in St. Bernard Parish. She graduated in 2003 from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders. While staying home to raise her two girls, Mrs. Crawford earned a Master of Education degree in 2014 from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. She will be teaching the inclusion classes for Kindergarten and 1st grade for the 2021-2022 school year.
Mrs. Crawford is married to her wonderful husband, Jacob Crawford. Together they have two beautiful girls who also attend Meraux Elementary School. Mrs. Crawford loves anything cats, sloths, and monkeys. She enjoys playing the piano, doing mission work, painting, and of course, teaching! Her passion is working with students with disabilities and seeing them grow in so many ways throughout the school year.
