Mrs. Breland is a Special Education Teacher at Arlene Meraux Elementary.  She was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish and loves her community.  She attended Mount Carmel Academy High School and then received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of New Orleans.  She discovered her passion for teaching while working as a school counselor and helping in the classrooms. Becoming a teacher has been one of the best moments in her life.  She wants her classrooms to be loving, caring, and supportive.

In her spare time she loves to be with her husband, Brad, daughter, Corley, and her mom and dad.  Family always comes first.  She loves spending time with her 2 dogs, Sayeed and Nola, friends and watching TV.  She looks forward to making a difference in each of her students' lives.  Ms. Breland loves being a part of the Meraux Family and coaching the HoneyBees.   Go Bees!
