Mrs. Dulce Aguda

Mrs. Dulce Aguda is excited to serve Arlene Meraux Elementary as the K-5 English Learner Teacher.  Mrs. Aguda is bilingual (English/Spanish) thanks to her parents who continue to practice with her today.  Mrs. Aguda grew up in Metairie, LA where she currently lives with her amazing husband (Joseph, Jr.) and two brilliant, hardworking sons (Joseph, III and Alexander) as well as two beautiful dogs (Lexi & Trixie).

She attended High School in New Orleans, LA and graduated from Loyola University (New Orleans) with her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education (certified PK-8th grades).  Eventually, Mrs. Aguda earned her Master of Arts in English Teaching from the University of New Orleans (certified ESL).  Her professional experience includes teaching all subjects from Kindergarten through adulthood as a traditional classroom teacher in addition to serving as a Director of Education, Center Director, and Regional Director for a leading supplemental education provider in the Greater New Orleans area.

Mrs. Aguda enjoys reading, baking, crocheting, and online shopping in her free time.   She is looking forward to another wonderful year in the St. Bernard Parish School System, which she has served since Fall, 2018.
