Mrs. Scarcello received her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2004 from Louisiana State University and her master’s of social work from Louisiana State University in 2006. She has been practicing social work since that time in many capacities including in psychiatric hospital settings, as an adolescent substance abuse therapist, as a crisis evaluator for 6 years, and in adult intensive outpatient treatment centers. She had a private practice for two years. She obtained her social work license in January 2010 along with her certification as a licensed addictions counselor shortly after that time. Mrs. Scarcello received her clinical supervisor license in March 2016.
Mrs. Scarcello began working as the school social worker for Rowley in the 2016-2017 school year and has maintained her position since that time. Mrs. Scarcello loves working with all the students to support them in being successful academically and addressing all mental health needs. Mrs. Scarcello focuses on addressing the many social and emotional needs that impact the student’s success in the classroom and in the community. She often connects with community agencies to provide students with needed resources. She focuses on ensuring that all students have access to mental health treatment to best address behavioral and academic concerns.
Outside of school, Mrs. Scarcello enjoys spending time with her dashcund, Daisy, attending festivals, playing with her nieces and nephews, and cheering on the LSU Tigers.
