Ms. Kandice Naquin

Hi! I'm Ms. Naquin. I am so excited to teach all of the great students I have this year. I am not originally from St. Bernard. I grew up in a small town in Lafourche Parish called Cut Off. I am the oldest of 4 children and currently live in Slidell with my family. I love St. Bernard Parish and I knew that this is where I wanted to teach the moment I visited here with my brother in law. It is such a warm and inviting area. In my time off I enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with my loved ones. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  • Hello parents and students,

I have missed all of you tremendously and cannot wait to see your faces during our Zoom hours. As a result of the extension of school closings, assignments will now be required. This is to ensure that all levels of support are in place for our great students. Here are a few days and times to keep in mind.

On Monday by 10 a.m. I will have all of the students' assignments of the week posted in Google Classroom and on the calendar and assignments page on my teacher website.

On Tuesday we will have Zoom sessions. The times are as follows:

    1st Period: 9:00-9:20

    3rd Period: 10:00-10:20

This time will be used for questions, assignments, and student lessons.

Thursday Zoom sessions are as follows:

    2nd Period: 9:00-9:20

    4th Period: 10:00-10:20

On Friday, I will be running IXL and Lexia reports and contacting parents whose child has any missed assignments from springboard. I will be calling to see if any more support is needed for students struggling to complete assignments.

Keep in mind that I am available through Google Classroom. I will be giving students feedback on assignments as needed. If any student has any questions about an assignment, please do not hesitate to contact me via google classroom. I will be using the questions asked in google classroom to plan what needs to be covered in the zoom sessions and the weekly Wednesday video.

I hope all of you stay safe and I look forward to seeing you again soon,

    Ms. N
