Ms. Aysha Harper

Mathematics develops perseverance, reasoning skills and the out-of-the-box thinking necessary to solve problems, not just in the classroom, but in the world in general.

Ms. Harper, though raised in Wisconsin, spent much of her childhood visiting her family in St. Bernard Parish. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Mathematics with Industrial Engineering Application and a B.S. in Economics and working as an engineer for Pepsi in Texas and for Cargill in Georgia, Ms. Harper decided to move to ‘da parish that her mother would always rave about.

Her passion for helping others to acknowledge and reach their full potential led to her not only volunteering throughout her community, but also led her to tutoring her peers and others in math since the age of 5! One of her biggest goals is that her desire to always help others spreads to her students.

Outside of school, Ms. Harper loves to workout, crochet, draw and play basketball, badminton, chess and Sudoku.
