Welcome to Mrs. Schiro's class website.
Mrs. Schiro is a 4th grade teacher at Joseph J. Davies Elementary. She grew up in St. Bernard Parish, down the road in Violet. The summer of 7th grade, she moved to Slidell with her family. After graduating from Northshore High, she went on to graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University. During her college days, Mrs. Schiro also participated in the Disney College Program in Orlando, Florida. In 2013, she graduated from SLU with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
Mrs. Schiro has been teaching for many years. She is thrilled to be a part of the wonderful team here at Joseph J. Davies. Mrs. Schiro has a love for teaching children and that transcends into her interactions with the children in the classroom. Her goal is to instill a love of learning and exploring in children that will last them their whole lives, not just the short time they are with her.
Mrs. Schiro recently got married in April of 2019 and moved to Pearl River. Mrs. Schiro's favorite past time is trying new places to eat or planning their family's' next Disney World Vacation. Mrs. Schiro spends most of her free time with her family or traveling to local areas that she hasn't visited before.
