Mu Alpha Theta is a math honor society. The club is by invitation only. Some requirements to be invited are that the student must be in 10th grade and finished Geometry. They also must have a 3.3 GPA in just math (so out of all of their math classes combine, they need a 3.3).
Mu Alpha Theta does require it's members to get tutoring hours. This can be accomplished on Thursdays at the 9th grade academy or at home as long as the child is in middle or high school. Members will need to get 3 hours in the fall and 4 hours in the spring. At least two of the hours need to be done at the 9th grade academy.
Mu Alpha Theta meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the very beginning of lunch.
