Ms. Jennifer Gioia

Coach Jennifer Gioia was a member of the first varsity high school girls soccer team, scored the first four goals in school history, and was best offensive player two years in a row. She was also a member of the cross country, track, and tennis teams for Andrew Jackson High School. After completing her cross country and track eligibility for UNO, she returned to soccer by joining the New Orleans Coed Soccer league, where she continues to play. She has also competed in tournaments and an indoor soccer league and has experience playing on both grass and artificial turf.


At Andrew Jackson High School, coach Gioia served as assistant girls soccer coach and assistant cross country coach. Currently she servers as head girls soccer coach and cross country coach. The girls soccer team has made multiple playoffs appearances since the soccer program began at Chalmette High School in 2006. She is also a Latin and World History GT teacher at the Chalmette.
