    2018-2019 Colonelettes

The Andrew Jackson Middle School Colonelettes Dance Team is a performance team founded on the values of respect, responsibility, hard work, and dedication. While the main focus of this team is dancing, the coach, Ms. Kaylin Courtade strives for academic excellence for all members. To be a Colonelette, members must demonstrate their ability to simultaneously juggle education and the rigorous performance and practice schedule dance team requires. The Colonelettes perform at various community and school events such as football games, pep rallies, fundraisers, festivals, parades, and competitions. For the last five consecutive years, the Colonelettes have earned 1st place at competition for their kick routine and for the past three consecutive years, the Colonelettes have earned 1st place home routine, 1st place competition routine, and overall camp champs at American All Star dance camp. In addition to these awards, the Colonelettes were chosen for the "Judges Award" at camp during the summer of 2015 and the "Most Admired" team at camp for the 2016 summer camp.  In 2017, the Colonelettes hosted their own American All Star Camp with St. Bernard Middle and Trist Middle. The awards do not end here as the Colonelettes have also placed in the jazz, solo, duet, and officer categories at competition. Ms. Courtade is extremely proud of these accomplishments and is excited to see what the future has in store for the Colonelettes.
