The Cooking Club is an after school club that usually meets once or twice a month. It is one of the most popular clubs at Andrew Jackson Middle School. Due to limited kitchen space, the club is capped at 24 students.
During the year the program provides the students with reinforcement in language arts, mathematics, and history through the everyday use of recipes, measurements and researching the history and culture of the foods prepared. The students also practice proper table etiquette and the art of being a good host.
