Wendy Gonzales has 24 years of experience in education and has spent the last 16 years as the librarian at N.P. Trist Middle School.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Holy Cross College where she graduated Salutatorian.  She later earned a library certification from the University of New Orleans.

Mrs. Gonzales is a life-long resident of the St. Bernard community.  She has been married for over 37 years to Tim Gonzales.  Together, they had four children: Terry, Dalton, Faith and Rose.  Their surviving children, Dalton and Faith, both live in lower St. Bernard.  She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her first grandbaby, Terry James, and her granddogs, Oakley and Costa.
