Mrs. Bambi Steele

Mrs. Steele is thrilled to be your teacher. She knows it is going to be a fun year filled with lots of learning and new adventures. Mrs. Steele was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish. Mrs. Steele has two older sisters who have blessed her with three nephews and two nieces. She loves them all. She has one child, a boy. Her son is the love of her life and will be starting his first year of college this fall.

Mrs. Steele is a graduate of Our Lady of Holy Cross College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary education. She began her teaching career at C.F. Rowley Elementary School teaching Kindergarten. Mrs. Steele was teaching at C.F. Rowley when Hurricane Katrina made landfall. After Hurricane Katrina, she moved to Hammond, Louisiana where she taught Kindergarten for one year at Midway Elementary school. Mrs. Steele loved her time there but like Dorothy said, "there is no place like home." She moved back to St. Bernard and began teaching Kindergarten at Andrew Jackson Elementary school. The following year she transferred to Joseph J. Davies Elementary where she has been teaching Kindergarten ever since.

Mrs. Steele has been through lots of changes in her 15 years of teaching but the one thing that has remained constant was her love for teaching Kindergarten. She looks forward to a new school year with a new group of Kindergartners.
