Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Catherine Randall

Mrs. Randall is entering her 20th year of teaching in St. Bernard Parish.  This is her 6th year teaching 2nd grade!  Most of her time has been spent in 3rd grade, but she's worked with 1st and 4th grades as well.  Mrs. Randall began her teaching career at Joseph Davies Elementary in 2003 and worked there until Hurricane Katrina.  Shortly after, she began working at St. Bernard Unified School and then moved to Andrew Jackson when it reopened as an elementary school.  Mrs. Randall worked for a year at Central Office as a Title I Facilitator, but realized her true passion was being in the classroom with her students.  She has been teaching at Joseph Davies Elementary since 2009.

While Mrs. Randall adores her 2nd graders, she also enjoys working with future teachers.  She has worked as an Adjunct Instructor in the Education Department at the University of Holy Cross and Nunez Community College.  Mrs. Randall also welcomes residents from both The University of New Orleans and The University of Holy Cross into her classroom whenever she gets the opportunity to do so.

Mrs. Randall is a graduate of Delgado Community College where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education.  She went on to continue her education at Our Lady of Holy Cross College where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a certification in grades 1st-8th.  Mrs. Randall also holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Our Lady of Holy Cross College.

Mrs. Randall resides in Meraux with her husband, Ryan and their daughter, Maggie (a Yorkshire terrier).  She enjoys reading, shopping, movies, plays, & spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Randall wants to instill a love of learning in all of her students.  She believes teaching should be meaningful and engaging.  Since Mrs. Randall only has your child for one fleeting school year, she wants to make an impression that will last a lifetime!
