Mrs. Nunez manages the library and teaches library skills to all Kindergarten-5th Grade students at Arabi Elementary.  She has been teaching in St. Bernard Parish for 35 years.  She taught 3rd and 4th grade for 5 years and has been a librarian for the past 30 years.  Mrs. Nunez was named Librarian of the Year three times by the St. Bernard Reading Council.

Mrs. Nunez has lived in St. Bernard Parish her entire life.  She attended public schools in the parish and graduated from P.G.T. Beauregard High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and K-12 Library Science from the University of New Orleans in 1986.

Mrs. Nunez is happily married and has one daughter who also attends public school in St. Bernard Parish
