Coach Gilchrist has been teaching for over 24 years. He recieved his college degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of New Orleans, where he also worked for 4 years at the summer sports camp. Coach Gilchrist spent 11 years at the Tulane sports camp. He has coached middle/high school sports including: soccer, cross country, football, basketball and softball. His wife, Lori, is also a teacher and together they have 2 awesome boys, Ethan and Colby. He has coached them every year in soccer and has been around kids of various ages, coaching and teaching them sport skills. Coach Gilchrist became a teacher because he loves sports and enjoys teaching students new skills that they can build on and enjoy for a lifetime. Coach Gilchrist is the Boys' Soccer Coach and Tennis Coach at Chalmette High School.
