Ms. Strauss has been a teacher at Chalmette High School since 2014.  A graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, she attended Louisiana State University and St. Mary's Dominican College where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree.  

As a classroom teacher, her goal is to help each student reach his/her full potential.  While teaching remains her strongest passion, Ms. Strauss finds pleasure in traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Strauss has been married over 22 years, and she and her husband have a daughter who is junior at LSU.
