Ms. Jillian Chrisman

Jillian Chrisman is a World History teacher at Chalmette High School. Ms. Chrisman grew up in Terrytown, on the West Bank, and graduated from Archbishop Blenk High School. After high school, she attended Loyola University New Orleans where she graduated with a B.A. in History with a minor in Sociology. She then attended the University of New Orleans where she received a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Ms. Chrisman has been teaching at Chalmette High School for ten years.

Ms. Chrisman always loved how history allowed her to see into the past and understand how the past impacts the world around us. History was always her favorite subject growing up, and it has inspired her to travel to see many of the places she has read about. Ms. Chrisman has been to several other countries, including France, Belgium, Germany, and Mexico. Being able to see historical places first hand and experience the culture of these other countries inspired her to teach and share this with her students.
