Coach Brossette began his coaching career at Chalmette High School in 1990, where he served as an assistant coach in baseball, basketball and track. In 1998 he took on the role as the school’s Athletic Director as well as the chairperson for the Physical Education department. A 1985 graduate of Chalmette High School, he was a member of the Owls basketball teams that reached the state semi-finals two consecutive years. He also received the annual title of Most Athletic during his senior year. David earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Southeastern Louisiana University. He and his wife Kelly have one daughter, Chelsea.
