Ms. Janneck

Ms. Jessica Janneck is not only a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish--she is a product of St. Bernard Parish public schools.  She is proud to consider herself a Meraux Elementary Bee, a Chalmette Middle Viking, and an Andrew Jackson Fundamental Magnet High School Colonel.

After high school graduation, Ms. Janneck attended the University of New Orleans, where she obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Social Studies Education.  To further her professional knowledge, she also earned a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.  She currently possesses both a Level 3 teaching certificate from the Louisiana State Department of Education and an Advanced Placement Instructor Certification from the College Board.

Ms. Janneck currently teaches Psychology and Advanced Placement Psychology. However, Ms Janneck is dedicated not only to the students in her classroom, but to the school as a whole, serving as the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) Committee Chairperson and as a member of the School Improvement Team.  Additionally, Ms. Janneck acts as a co-sponsor of PBIS Teens and the Student Council.

In 2016, the school community recognized her excellence and dedication as an educator by awarding her the St. Bernard Parish High School Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Janneck believes that each student is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially.  It is her goal as an educator to help her students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing a safe and supportive atmosphere and by inspiring her students to become invested in their experiences at Chalmette High School.
