Mrs. Alison Schroeder

When asked about her teaching philosophy, Alison Schroeder believes that education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.  She seeks to ignite a spark of lifelong learning in the students who enter her classroom, desires for them to strive for their absolute best, and encourages them to meet rigorous expectations both in and out of the classroom.  Mrs. Schroeder has been a member of the CHS faculty since 2012, and has fifteen years of teaching experience in total.  She is a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, Louisiana State University, and received her Masters in Education from Concordia University, Texas.

Mrs. Schroeder is passionate about her students' success and also about her community. She is the sponsor for the CHS Key Club, which completes thousands of hours of community service annually throughout St. Bernard Parish.  She is also a resident of St. Bernard Parish, where she and her husband, Bobby, are raising their two daughters, Molly and Ella.
