Mrs. Annette Peyton

As the school year approaches, Mrs. Peyton looks forward to meeting new students and having the opportunity to build relationships that will encourage her students to be the best person they can be. She believes that education goes beyond academics and is a combination of learning as well as maturing in relational skills. She hopes to instill in her students not only  knowledge of American History but also the desire to become a citizen that cares about their community.

Mrs. Peyton graduated from Marion Abramson Sr. High and went on to get her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education/Social Studies from the University of New Orleans. She is a veteran teacher of 33 years in the classroom and has taught various subjects and grade levels both in private and public schools. Her entire teaching career has been in St. Bernard Parish with the last 17 years split between Chalmette Middle School, St. Bernard Unified School, and Chalmette High.

In school Mrs. Peyton enjoys sponsoring the Reach Club which is a student led Christian club that exemplifies a love for God, good character qualities and kindness towards others. Outside of school she enjoys traveling, being involved at church and spending time with her family, friends and pets.
