Born and raised in St. Bernard Parish, Mrs. Brockhaus is a graduate of Lynn Oaks High School where she was salutatorian of her class.  It was her love of learning and being in the classroom that led her to pursue a degree in Secondary Education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.  This is her 25th year teaching in the St. Bernard Parish School System and her 15th year as a proud member of the CHS faculty.  She is very passionate about her curriculum and the relationships she develops with her students.  She hopes to take part in shaping the next generation and to have an impact far beyond the classroom.

Aside from her career, family is most important to Mrs. Brockhaus.  Her favorite thing to do is spend quality time with her husband and two sons.
