As we come to the close of our school year, we have made arrangements for all students to pick up materials left in classrooms/awards/mementos, etc. and to drop off items owed to the school such as library books, instruments and the novels that were sent home when we left so quickly in March. It is important that we follow the schedule below and continue to practice Social Distancing guidelines.

    Our procedure will hopefully be a very efficient DRIVE-THRU process. Cars will enter on Alexander St., coming from St. Bernard Hwy. at the side Cafeteria entrance.  Please have a sign with your child's name and homeroom teacher displayed outside the passenger side door. At the cafeteria doors, someone will bring a bag with your child's belongings.

Mrs. Amanda Falgout


Amanda Falgout teaches 4th grade at Arabi Elementary School.  You may also know her from her previous position in the front office.  She was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish and currently resides in Chalmette.  She attended Lacoste Elementary School, N.P. Trist Middle School, and graduated from Chalmette High School (St. Bernard Unified School) in 2006 following Hurricane Katrina.  She was part of the first and only graduating class of St. Bernard Unified School.  She received her Associate's Degree in Care and Development of Young Children from Nunez Community College in 2009 and received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Upper Iowa University in 2017. 

Mrs. Falgout began working for the St. Bernard Parish School Board in 2009 at Andrew Jackson Elementary School where she was a Special Education Paraprofessional.  She then moved to Arabi Elementary School to the Office Paraprofessional position where she had the pleasure of working with her mom everyday, Ms. Debbie.  She is also a dancing school teacher at The Dance Connection located in Chalmette.  She has been married to her husband since 2010 and has a beautiful daughter, Gabrielle.

Ms. Falgout is the sponsor of the Arabi Angels team, the Webmaster of the the Arabi Elementary Website, and the yearbook editor.  She also is part of the Multi-Cultural Night Committee and the Evening with the Arts Committee.
