Mrs. Alkurd is a first grade teacher at Arabi Elementary School. She graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science with a focus on education and human development. She is a native of St. Bernard, and is a product of the St. Bernard school system, graduating with honors from Chalmette High. Mrs. Alkurd was brought up helping others, and it's her mission to see that every child's needs are met. Mrs. Alkurd is a mother, and she loves art, elephants, the color yellow, and reading. Mrs. Alkurd is beyond excited to begin the year and help every child grow.
