Mrs. Lauren Fernandez
As we come to the close of our school year, we have made arrangements for all students to pick up materials left in classrooms/awards/mementos, etc. and to drop off items owed to the school such as library books, instruments, the novels that we sent home when we left school so quickly in March. It is important that during this time, we follow the schedule below and continue to practice Social Distancing guidelines.
Our procedure will hopefully be a very efficient DRIVE-THRU process. Cars will enter on Alexander St., coming from St. Bernard Hwy. at the side Cafeteria entrance. Please have a sign with your child's name and homeroom teacher displayed outside the passenger side door. At the cafeteria doors, someone will bring a bag with your child's belongings.
Mrs. Fernandez's class with drive-thru and pick up and 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 21st.

About the Teacher
Mrs. Fernandez has taught fourth grade and second grade at Arabi Elementary!
She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University. She was inspired at a young age by her aunt to become a teacher. She loves coming to school everyday to see the students' smiling faces.
When Mrs. Fernandez isn't teaching, she is at the park with her husband and baby or reading a good book from the library!
"The future of the world is in my classroom today."
