Mrs. Genovese is extremely excited about teaching 5th grade Math and Science for the 2022-2023 school year! She cannot wait to get to know every student's unique personality and interests.

Mrs. Genovese graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and graduated from LSU again in 2008 with a Master's degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Mathematics. She taught 4th grade at Gauthier Elementary for 8 years and was Gauthier Elementary's Instructional Coach for 1 year. This is her 6th year teaching 5th grade.

Mrs. Genovese knew she wanted to become a teacher when she was in kindergarten! She loves teaching because she gets to share her knowledge with others every day and loves to see her students succeed on assignments. She views her classroom as one big family that has respect for each other at all times. 

Mrs. Genovese loves to swim, travel, and exercise when she is not working on schoolwork. She is also the moderator of Academic Games and has a 5 year-old daughter and a 3 year-old son at home.
