Ms. Angél Serignè, M.Ed
Angel Serigne is an enthusiastic special education teacher at C. F. Rowley Alternative School. She is a lifelong resident of St. Bernard where she has also spent her entire teaching career of 21 years within the service of the St. Bernard Parish School system.
Her class theme this year is "Choices Today Determine Tomorrow!" Students quite often feel that, in school, they struggle to keep afloat, but it is Ms. Serigne's goal to make her class stimulating and gratifying for your child to build confidence as they ride the rollercoaster of life. She looks forward to a positive year of building your student's success academically, socially, and emotionally.
Additionally, Ms. Serigne teaches three of the four core subjects of ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science. She has relinquished Social Studies, her favorite of the four, this year in order to place more instructional time in the areas most needed. She also prides herself in her phone calls home. She loves to make positive phone calls home and enjoys hearing the joy in parents' voices when these calls take place. The purpose of this is to work together to assist your child in reaching his or her goals in order to facilitate a return to a district through positive reinforcement. That positivity also aides in building a child's self worth.
