    2020-21 NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

    Please note that new student registration will be done by appointment only.  Please call the school at 504-301-1500 to set up an appointment. 

     

    END OF YEAR INFORMATION UPDATED MAY 18, 2020

    There has been a change in time for the award pick up on Thursday.  6th grade will still drive thru from 9:00-9:30.  7th grade will now drive thru from 9:30-10:00.  Please note the time change for 7th grade!

     

    END OF YEAR INFORMATION UPDATED MAY 11, 2020

    Our last day of instruction for the 2019-2020 school year will be Friday, May 15.  Report cards will be mailed out to parents/guardians at the end of May.

    Parents and Students,

    We understand this is a very difficult time for all, and we hope that your family is well. Governor Edwards has announced that schools will remain closed for the duration of the school year; therefore, we will be providing another layer of support for students.

    When school closed on March 13, we posted assignments online and also sent books home and posted paper-based assignments hoping that students would remain engaged in the learning process.  However, since the Governor’s announcement that schools will remain closed for the duration of the school year, circumstances have changed and your child’s learning must continue; therefore, he/she must complete assignments.  Teachers will consider your child’s first three nine weeks grades and the work your child is completing remotely to determine final grades and make promotional decisions.   

    If you have Internet access, assignments can be accessed by visiting your child’s teacher webpage and his/her Clever account. Once your child is logged into Clever, your child can access his/her Google Classroom lessons and Zoom live meetings. Starting this week, teachers began live Zoom lessons with students to support them in the learning process. Lessons and videos will continue for the duration of the school year. Information can be accessed by visiting your child’s teacher web page on our school website found under the Teacher tab at the top of the page.   Further technology guidance can be found on the school website and Facebook pages.

    If you do not have Internet access at home, teachers will assist you in any way they can.  Teachers can give you the assignments by phone for the books your child has at home, and/or they can take a picture of the assignments and send them to you.  You would then have to send them a picture of the completed work so that feedback can be provided.

    Please understand that teachers are here to help in any way—we know this is a difficult time for everyone, and we certainly want what is best for your child.  You can reach teachers by email if you have questions.   Teacher email addresses can be found on school websites under the teacher tab.
