Hello students and parents! My name is Mr. Meyers, and I've been here at Andrew Jackson since its start as a middle school 10 years ago.  I am a graduate of Chalmette High School and Tulane University.  I still live in Chalmette with my daughter Maddy and son Lennon.  As an 8th grade earth science teacher, I look forward to discussing such topics as earthquakes, hurricanes, and dinosaurs with my students.  Outside of school, I'm a big fan of sports, especially the Saints, Pelicans, Red Sox, and Tulane University.  Besides being a sports fan, a good movie will always get my attention.  Some of my favorites include Rocky and Cool Hand Luke.  I also enjoy video games, travel, and spending time with my family.  I cannot wait to meet my new students and enjoy another great school year.
