Ms. Gallardo's classroom has a welcoming environment with high expectations in both academic and learning behaviors.  Students will be taught from a teacher who has twenty four years of experience in secondary English and enjoys the art of teaching-learning-sharing the curriculum.

After graduating from Andrew Jackson High in 1975, Ms. Gallardo went on to marriage and family life.  Going back to college later in life, she graduated from The University of New Orleans with a degree in education.  Living in St. Bernard Parish all of her life, she left in 2005 with many others and didn't return until 2013, which is when she became a part of the Chalmette High School faculty.

Ms. Gallardo believes that parent/guardian and teacher communication is an integral part of support for students' success.  Leaving messages with the office and/or e-mailing her is always welcomed.
