Mrs. Halstead is excited to meet her new students and see what amazing things this new school year will bring! She is a Special Education and English Language Arts teacher at Andrew Jackson Middle School. Mrs. Halstead is from Columbus, Georgia but has been a resident of Louisiana since 2015. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Art History at Louisiana State University, and also received her Masters of Arts in Teaching Secondary Special Education with an English certification from the University of New Orleans. 

Mrs. Halstead is also the AJ Cheer coach!

In her freetime, Mrs. Halstead likes to hangout with her two cats, Lana and Ophelia, and her pugs, Larry David and Peach. She also likes to read, write, bake, visit museums, try new foods and restaurants, and spend time with friends and family.
