Ms. Miorana is a 2nd and 3rd grade Special Education teacher at Joseph Davies Elementary. She is entering her sixth full year of teaching. She is originally from Houma, LA. There she attended public school and truly valued all the influential teachers she experienced. This is what helped spark her motivation to teach. 

She attended the University of New Orleans and earned a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education. She has taught all grades 1-5 as well as special education and English Language Learners. She was voted Teacher of the Year in 2018-2019 at her previous school. She is excited to be a proud Pelican and happy to return to her roots of a community based school.

When she is not at school, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoys taking walks with her faithful companion Beignet, which is a rescue golden Lab.
