Ms. Jillian Poche

Jillian Poche is a Kindergarten through 2nd grade Mild-Moderate Special Education teacher at Meraux Elementary. Born and raised in New Orleans, she attended Ben Franklin High School and studied Enlgish at Tulane University. After college, she worked at an afterschool program in Boston. Her love of working with children led her to persue a career in teacher, and in 2015 she graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Masters of Arts in Teaching.

She is very excited to be a part of the team at Meraux! She is passionate about coming up with creative and engaging ways to help her students reach their full potentials. Her main goal is to encourage students in their unique abilities so that they can become lifelong learners and engaged citizens. When not at school, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and seeing live music!
