Mrs. Cagnolatti is so excited to be a 5th grade teacher at Smith. She looks forward to an exciting, productive school year in which in which progress will be shown by now only what her students learn, but how they show what they know.
After earning her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of New Orleans, Mrs. Cagnolatti realized that her true calling was in education. She continued attending UNO to obtain her teaching certification in English Language Arts. She truly enjoy working with kids and facilitating learning. One of the things that she likes to tell her students is that frustration is what happens right before learning occurs. Fifth grade is not an easy grade, but Mrs. Cagnolatti is eager to give her students the tools that instill confidence and a love of learning.
Though a large part of Mrs. Cagnolatti's life is dedicated to her students, she also has a wonderful husband of ten years and two amazing kids. She enjoys cooking, reading, and lots of family time.
Mrs. Cagnolatti truly looks forward to working with you and your child this year. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact her. Communication is vital to the learning process and it is so important to keep those lines open.
It is going to be another wonderful year at W. Smith Elementary!
